Char-grilled chicken is, together with roast chicken, the easiest way to cook chicken but it is really tasty, light and has important nutritional elements. While being cooked char-grilled chicken gives off a delicious scent that spreads throughout the house drawing the attention of your fellow diners. So get yourself a good chicken and cook it!
- 1 medium-sized chicken
- 3 cloves of garlic
- olive oil
- juice of 2 lemons
- 6 sage leaves
- Gut, rinse, split (without dividing it) and squeeze the chicken.
- Finely chop garlic and sage with salt and pepper and season chicken inside and outside. Make holes with a sharp knife on legs and breast and stuff with seasoning.
- Dress everything with lemon, oil, salt and pepper and let rest for 3 or 4 hours in a bowl.
- Char-grill but do not place chicken too close to the charcoal fire. Pour on the remained seasoning and turn round a few times for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Use poultry shears to cut into pieces and serve hot.
