Char-grilled chicken

Char-grilled chicken is, together with roast chicken, the easiest way to cook chicken but it is really tasty, light and has important nutritional elements. While being cooked char-grilled chicken gives off a delicious scent that spreads throughout the house drawing the attention of your fellow diners. So get yourself a good chicken and cook it!


  • 1 medium-sized chicken
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 6 sage leaves
  • pepper


  1. Gut, rinse, split (without dividing it) and squeeze the chicken.
  2. Finely chop garlic and sage with salt and pepper and season chicken inside and outside. Make holes with a sharp knife on legs and breast and stuff with seasoning.
  3. Dress everything with lemon, oil, salt and pepper and let rest for 3 or 4 hours in a bowl.
  4. Char-grill but do not place chicken too close to the charcoal fire. Pour on the remained seasoning and turn round a few times for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Use poultry shears to cut into pieces and serve hot.
