Il Relais Villa Petrischio si trova nel cuore della campagna toscana, a Farneta di Cortona. Circondato da un parco di tre ettari di pini secolari e cipressi, il relais gode di un’incantevole vista sulla Valdichiana. Costruita nel secolo XVIII sulla collina più alta della zona, la Villa è appartenuta ai Conti Lambardi che fecero di quest’oasi di serenità la loro residenza. Gli attuali proprietari hanno trasformato quest’antica dimora in un accogliente e raffinato Relais a quattro stelle.

Il ristorante a bordo piscina, sotto la guida di un giovane e apprezzato chef, offre un’ampia scelta dal Menu à la carte che unisce i sapori di una tradizione antica alla fantasia di accostamenti inediti. La Carta dei Vini offre un’accurata selezione di oltre 300 etichette scelte da Luca Maroni uno dei più apprezzati esperti e conoscitori di vino a livello nazionale ed internazionale. Il Relais organizza Corsi di cucina e serate di degustazione vini, oli e prodotti tipici toscani.

Una grande struttura in legno e cristallo che guarda la valle, permette di accogliere fino a 300 persone per cerimonie, meeting e congressi.

Le 18 camere arredate con estrema cura hanno preziosi mobili d’epoca che si sposano felicemente con i più moderni comfort: dalla TV satellitare alle vasche o docce a idromassaggio, dal frigobar alla connessione a internet. Tutte le camere si affacciano sul vasto parco e sulla piscina costruita su una terrazza naturale che domina l’intera vallata.

Villa Petrischio is a typical XVIIIth century Tuscan building, standing on the highest hill of the zone from which it enjoys a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside with its many little towns and villages. Surrounded by a 3 acre green park of secular pines and cypresses, the Villa was once the property of count Lambardi, and subsequently of marquis Serra, who chose this oasis of serenity as his residence. The owners have recently turned the Villa into a small, home style and exclusive four stars Relais.

Restaurant and event area

An elegant wood and crystal air conditioned gazebo, next to the swimming pool, is the Relais dining hall. Thanks to its circular design, the bar in the gazebo allows the most convenient service of drinks and snacks also available to the guests who are resting and sunbathing by the swimming pool. A similar wood and crystal structure, capable of accommodating up to 250 persons for receptions, conferences, meetings and other events, stands nearby. The Restaurant offers a wide “Menù à la carte” with a choice of typical Tuscan plates, revisited with a modern touch and a special attention for the presentation; but guests of different cultures and habits and with special needs can be properly taken care of. Meals and dishes can be accompanied by appropriately chosen wines from a “Carta of wines”, that offers a large selection of renowned producers and vintages.

Rooms

The 18 rooms, named after the heroines of ancient mythology and history, offer the opportunity to choose different accommodations from standard double or twin bedrooms to deluxe suites. All rooms are furnished with exquisite care for details. Precious antiques are elegantly married with modern comforts: jacuzzi bathtubs and showers, satellite TV and Internet access – just to mention a few of the services offered - are there to render the stay of the Villa’s guests as convenient and relaxing as possible. All rooms open up on the large park and on the elegant swimming pool, built on a natural terrace that dominates the valley, offering the possibility to enjoy the most fascinating Tuscan sunsets. The park is equipped with children games.
