In the middle of the hills of the Trasimeno shire, and at a few steps from Perugia, Assisi and Cortona there’s La Fattoria del Rio di Sopra, which in the ancient times, was a monastery. Now the build is completely restored and turns into an agritourism.

So, in the heart of the evocative landscape of the Trasimeno Hills, the complex may offers you beautiful apartments furnished with care and love. Everything is arounded by the warm typical of the Umbrian and genuine placet, which remind to other times, with a great and romantic garden.

Our structure is easily reachable thanks to the closeness with the main road, but is also apart and distant to assure you relax and silence.

La Fattoria del Rio di Sopra is composed of independent apartments. Each unit has been realised with masterly skill in the most evocative parts of the building, respecting old arches and walls (even the roofs are made of ancient pantiles) in order to keep the charm of the past alive for those who wish to experience the traditions and history of this magic place.

The preservation of the original terraces and openings allows a wide and evocative view of the Trasimeno Lake and of the green Umbrian valley. The view is comparable to the best postcards and pictures. In this way, a harmony has been created between the old and the new, the past and the present. Both in the entrance way (La Piazzetta) and in the two gardens (a 1000 sq. metres garden and another 3000 sq. metres garden on the first level), you feel protected by a warm embrace: you are surrounded by plants and flowers, you are safe from winds blowing from every cardinal point, but, at the same time, you can observe a limitless landscape. The apartments have been created with ancient styled furniture, paintings and curtains in order to make your holidays in “La Fattoria” unique and unforgettable.
